What is free in FlatMile?

Automatic logging and manual entry are free, with no trip limit. Captured drives show the day, time, destination and duration; their details and classification are held until a subscription or eligible trial unlocks them. Typed manual, odometer and imported entries are not held. CSV export is free for unlocked drives and excludes still-locked captures. PDF reports require active paid access.

Does automatic tracking need an app account or extra hardware?

No separate FlatMile account or extra hardware is needed. Automatic capture is free and needs the appropriate iPhone location and motion permissions. Bluetooth can help identify your vehicle; it is not required to start every drive. Review captured drives for accuracy.

Can I use my mileage log for taxes or reimbursement?

FlatMile helps you keep and export mileage records, including business and personal classification. It supports published rates for the US, UK, Canada and the Netherlands, custom rates, and distance-only records. Eligibility for a deduction or reimbursement depends on your circumstances and the relevant rules; the app does not certify a claim.

Can I bring records from another mileage app?

FlatMile includes CSV import. Keep an original export from your previous app, then check the imported dates, distances, purposes and totals before relying on the new log. File formats vary. Our switching guide explains the export-first process.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

Your paid features remain available until the current subscription period ends. Drives unlocked during your subscription or trial stay open. Automatic logging continues, with new captured drive details held until you subscribe again. Typed manual, odometer and imported entries are not held. CSV remains free but excludes still-locked drives; PDF reports require an active subscription or eligible trial. Manage or cancel renewal through your Apple Account subscriptions.

Is FlatMile available for Android or on the web?

FlatMile is an iPhone app. There is no Android app or web mileage dashboard. The website’s free templates, guides and calculator work in your browser.
